Mission

  • The mission of Brazzamatazz Productions is to celebrate brass music in a rural, accessible and family-friendly environment.
  • The 2022 Brazzamatazz Festival @ Seed Song Farm will take place at Seed Song Farm in Kingston, NY on July 23 and will feature music from 6 bands whose influences range from the Balkans to Latin America, New Orleans second line to brass-punk and activist anthems.
  • The Brazzamatazz Festival @ Seed Song Farm is a benefit for Seed Song Farm, a Kingston-based agricultural center rekindling reverence for the land through healthy food and farm experiences for all.
  • A sizable portion of the proceeds from the event are donated to directly to the farm.
  • We believe the Brazzamatazz Festival @ Seed Song Farm will bring valuable tourist dollars to the mid-Hudson Valley region.
  • We also aim to promote local businesses through sponsorships.
  • While ticket sales will make up a portion of our budget, we need additional funding in order to make the event a success.

Looking Back

  • The 2018 festival featured eight brass bands from around the Northeast, a mix of local bands and others hailing from Providence, Boston and NYC.
  • The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive as nearly 500 people turned out on a hot summer day to dance and enjoy the music, the farm and local food vendors.
  • In 2019 we brought an entirely new set of bands to the area and expanded into a second day of programming.
  • Total attendance in 2019 was 700 people.
  • After skipping 2020 due to the pandemic, we held the festival last year and over 900 people attended our beloved community event.

Looking Ahead

  • In 2022, we are expecting that 1000 people will attend Brazzamatazz Festival @ Seed Song Farm.
  • Love and support for the festival has grown to a level where we expect to sell out before festival day.
  • We have many special events planned leading up to festival day on July 23.

In order to continue growing, we ask for your support.

Get Involved

  • We believe our sponsors will connect with the mission of Brazzamatazz Festival @ Seed Song Farm.
  • Your sponsorship will support an event that engages community through the performance of live brass, but also the educational and sustainability focused initiatives of the farm and the growing arts scene in the mid-Hudson Valley region.
  • In 2022 and in future festivals we hope to expand on the educational component of our festival so that attendees will have more opportunity to interact with the musicians and to learn about the various musical genres instilled in brass music and how they might be a part of such a project.

About Us

  • The Brazzamatazz Festival @ Seed Song Farm was co-founded and co-created as the Hudson Valley Brassroots Festival in 2018 by musicians and producers Matthew “Max” Fass of Brooklyn- based Raya Brass Band and Kingston-based Max’s New Hat, and Francesca Hoffman of Hudson-based Brasskill.
  • Their mutual love for brass music and its spontaneous, celebratory nature compelled them to create an environment where people could enjoy the music they love in a beautiful place outside of the city, and so, in 2018, the Hudson Valley Brassroots Festival was born.
  • In early 2022, the co-producers decided to part ways and Matthew “Max” Fass is now carrying on the tradition of a brass festival at Seed Song Farm under a new name, Brazzamatazz Festival @ Seed Song Farm.
  • The Hudson Valley Brazzamatazz Festival @ Seed Song Farm is a production of Hudson Valley Community Productions, a 501c3 Tax Exempt Arts Organization.
  • The festival is also a recipient of a NYSCA 2019 Decentralization Grant.
